Since I started eating a lot healthier and lost 50 pounds over the course of a year I have my resting heart rate stats below. Mind you, I didn't change anything I did in the gym, just eating much healthier. Before I started eating much better my resting heart rate was in the 70's.

Age 42. Resting heart rage: Athlete 50-56, Excellent 57-62, good 63-66

I was in athlete range 63/365 days or 17% of the time
I was in excellent range 289/365 days or 79% of the time
was in good range 13/365 days or 4% of the time

My RHR has always been pretty low. Usually in the low to mid fifties, sometimes into ghe uppee forties. Back when I was practicing biofeedback I could drop it into the thirties. I can't do it anymore. I've lost the ability to focus like that.

What do you use to track this? Does it track it over a certain period of time, or does it just take a certain segment (i.e., 1 minute = RHR for the day)?

I have a Fitbit and wear it about 23.5 hours a day, 24 if I don’t take a shower. I’ve heard there are some flaws with it but that it’s a decent measure.

I’ve been monitoring my HR data since I got the Apple Watch. It’s pretty cool but I don’t know how accurate the readings are. I think the BPM is the most reliable of them all, but the RHR and HRV have some kinks from what I’ve heard on podcasts. Age: 28

Age - 55

RHR - 48-53. Depends on sleep and eating habits.

Do manual pulse RHR reading upon awaking in the morning.

You´re welcome.

Mine is in the 38-44 range depending on how hard I workout. It's been as low as 35 on a day where I just laid around all day and didn't do much activity.

When I was an avid runner, and a few years older than OP, I was at 44 BPM. Therefore, this athlete range looks quite high to me.
