Audible recommendations
I have apparently been paying for Audible for a few months and had 10 credits built up before I even realized it. I downloaded 4 books (The Outsider, The Starless Sea, The Things We Can Not Say and The Raven Boys). I’m not a huge audio book fan but I need to use these credits so I can quit this subscription. Please offer any suggestions. They can be great books or just books that are better as audio than self read. I appreciate all genres so I’m wide open.

re: Audible recommendations
I've done a few audio books and have found light fiction to be the easiest to digest. Something from John Grisham, Carl Hiassen, etc. Or light non-fiction like David Sedaris.

I have a really short attention span though and tend to let my mind drift to other things when I'm listening though. I've spaced out on entire chapters on a couple I've tried.

I'll second the recommendation for Confederacy of Dunces.

Someone else mentioned Gaiman's American Gods and Neverwhere, but I would also add Fragile Things and Trigger Warning, which are both collections of his short stories.

If you want something that will really last, get David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest.

The Power of the Dog by Don Winslow. It's about Drug Cartels and a DEA agent after them. The whole series (3 books) is incredible but this is the first.

I love the book but I'd never recommend it on Audio. No footnotes for starters. They are mostly pointless but a few are critical. There are damn few people I'd recommend this book to, period. It's awesome but requires a whole lot of effort.

Michael J. Sullivan has some free short stories if you are into fantasy type stuff.

I've never read him but downloaded a few of the short stories as an intro to the series.
