Going to Paris in May via NYC. Norwegian airlines is pretty cheap round trip from NYC on a 787 Dreamliner. Never flown NA before. Are they the Southwest equivalent?

They are fine. Often they are delayed, so if ever using them as a first leg of a journey, be sure to pad in extra time.

For the price, who cares, it’s a great deal.

The plane is much nicer than over half of the other transatlantic flights

The planes and staff are very nice, but everything (food, water and some video content) is extra. Just grab some snacks at the airport before you board.
Both experiences I had with them were great. Excellent value considering the cost of the flights.

Nothing but great experiences. Extremely comfortable planes.

I've flown them a couple of times. No problems. Just read about the fees for baggage, seats, meals, etc.

Way better than Southwest. Good service, new planes. Terrible food- bring snacks and water.

I flew that overnight flight last summer. The plane was really, really nice. We sat in the bulkhead section in economy, which was better than being in genpop (especially with a four year old.)

Can't comment on the food, slept through most of it.

Plane did leave JFK 1.5 to 2 hours late, but we made up a little bit of time to CDG and landed about an hour late.

Did Norwegian to Paris via ORL last year.

Highly recommended, the plane was great. Staff was friendly. Round trip direct flight for a family of four was less than $2,000. Score!
