Think they’ll fix it all? That works for us.

Absolutely. Anything could have happened in the last couple of seconds, and luckily the contact was low. If he had gotten up on the hood it could have been terrible. Vehicle was solid, but it was pretty much the ideal location of impact.

I think he had the most fun that night. Got to put on a skinning lesson for Tony and his uncle.

See that’s why I clean it with the head down. The way I was taught was hang on hind legs, start cutting the cape. Attach to an atv and run the hide up to the neck. I cut the head off and then take the neck roast off. Cut the back strap out, tender loins, then the shoulders. Then cut the ribs with the guts inside off and discard. Then just cut the hind quarters off and your done. Very simple and fast

That works too. We hang them in the fridge or outside if cold enough, so it is easier to keep it all in one piece.

We have to record eviscerated carcass weight so we have to field dress, but we hang upside down as well.

Insurance company will total that car especially since the airbag deployed.

The best way to do it. Guts fall right out instead of getting stuck in the rib cavity.

Considered that after thinking about it...makes sense. My whole I’ve just used the rear leg rack and cleaned everything in that fashion...learning something new (to me).

This. Iv never separated or "dropped the guts" from the cavity.

I drove my son super far down ‘Magnolia’ rd (off twin bridges opposite from Azalea) last weekend, to where it said entering bomb range. Went down that road a bit but were scarred to mud ride too much since we were out of cell service and in my 5 series sedan. Good times. It’s beautiful back there.

I miss that area. We did all kinds of things back there from swimming to hunting to leaf collecting. Hope to make some late season squirrel hunts with my new .17 soon.

I knew 4 guys who, since they were broke, spent a month back there after high school. That was their senior trip. I couldn’t find the awesome little spot they were at. We used to have fires down there, throw axes at trees, and generally just frick around. It was down a blocked off road, on your right, a mile or two past ‘magnolia’. It looks so different now.

Most of the time on peasant vehicles like I drive but not true for the OT baller level of car typically found here in TD world. Airbags cost x on a $20k car and that same x one a $80k car.

I think the ‘actual cash value’ is going to be very difficult to pinpoint. I don’t see any others in the package and color combination and it has more miles than any for sale, 46,000. It’s a very early example, Sept ‘17, and pretty much no one who ordered one that early has either driven them this much, or has them for sale. Sucks if they value this one the cheapest example solely based on miles. I’d rather keep it than go through the hassle of ordering another. We’ll do overseas delivery if we go through that.

FWIW, if you field dress it then its better to hang it feet up. Its also easier to do the gutless method feet up, then you just keep the guts in the rib cage. I've never been a fan of head up but I've helped others do it that way. You just stick the bucket underneath and let the guts fall in. But if I'm going to hang it I'd rather just keep the guts in the ribs.

Feet up is better to hang overnight as it keeps the cavity open to air out.
