One of the best shows I’ve watched in Netflix, but why Laura Linney as Wendy? I don’t find her attractive at all and can’t recall anything I’ve ever liked her in.

I essentially thought the same as I watched the show for the first time. Laura Linney is about five years older than Jason Bateman and she looks it so I saw her as a miscast. But I've grown appreciate Laura in the series. Laura Linney is the quintessential actress. She is comfortable in film, TV and the stage. When I watch the show I do get the feeling she "acts" in every scene. It isn't till season 2 her profile rises to that of the major character. Ozark has been a boost to her career.
By the way, I don't particularly like Wendy Byrde as a character.

Isn't this the entire premise of the show? Most people would have been found and I quote Agent Petty, "gutted in a ditch" but they weren't. So we spend episode after episode watching how they navigate around this dilemma. And I suspect it will only get worse in S3 as Omar Navarro and the cartel come up from Mexico to chase them around.

Not gonna be popular here but Bateman lays his schtick on way, way to thick for me in Ozark. To the point where i can barely watch it. First season was great but i feel like its declining.
Also, i would frick Ruth into oblivion. She does it for me.

Yep. Season 1 was damn good. It started to go off the rails in 2nd season imo. I had a feeling that was gonna be the case they way season 1 ended with the old lady blowing the Cartel guys head off.

I just binged both seasons over the past week. It was fun. It looks like the KC mafia will be enemy number one next season. I'm glad they killed off Ruth's POS dad at the end. Ruth can become her own stand alone character now.

Ozark has a character named Buddy, just so you can repeatedly hear Bateman say "Hey Buddy" in his Bluth voice.

Great series. I'm glad I gave it a try. I'm not sure how they will keep it as good in season 3, but I'll check in to see.
