Well, it's a drive thru with basically zero seating. What are you expecting exactly?

I would still expect a couple of cars to be in the parking lot

At least it wasn't a huge investment

I'll still grab a cheap meal there as long as it's open though

I've been telling myself I will go try it, but I've never in that part of town and it's a bit unhealthy for a weekday lunch.

As opposed to the lovely decor of a typical fast food establishment? I think they're practical, inexpensive, and more interesting than the usual brick veneer boxes.

Its a burger/shake place across from Tigerland... I'd imagine its way busier at 2:30AM on Friday night than it is at lunchtime on a weekday. Drive by then and report your findings.

I think the whole concept is an attempt to test if it'll work then attempt to franchise. If it works, they can easily make the restaurants modular and rapidly grow it.

Well they are using “one tripper” containers which are built in China and only loaded and shipped once so they are in the best condition of any that you can buy. The 40’ runs about 5k in that condition so they are one repurposing them and two are building economically and three if by chance it doesn’t work out they can be demoed cheap and either sold as scrap or repurposed again.

It’s just another way to use them.

I hope they survive. Wife and I tried it after the basketball game last week and will definitely keep it in the rotation after games we attend. Sliders were good, fries were solid with the queso which was better queso than I expected from a fast-food joint, and the service was polite and quick. It's not earth shattering stuff by any means, but it was a positive fast-food experience which is tough to come by in this city outside of CFA and Canes.
