Eddie:

A) Ran a lackluster campaign with no central message - other than Trump

B) Sealed his fate when he broke Reagan’s 11th commandment - thou shall not speak ill of another republican

C) Had an inferior ground game to JBE the last few weeks

Wish it had gone the other way. But all of those factors sunk us against a VERY vulnerable governor

He didn’t earn it. I voted for him but he was a bad politician.

He lost when over 100,000 of your fellow R's voted for him.

Rispone’s campaign was terrible. Not sure milquetoast Abraham would have fared better. Louisiana GOP is so LULZ.

The state party has to do a better job of getting better candidates.

Wouldn't have pissed off Rispone voters, and would have won.

Abraham couldn't even win a quarter of the vote in the jungle, how could he beat JBE?

Blame Kennedy for not running.

Abraham would have beat JBE.

His attempt to be a mini-Trump won him the primary but ruined his chance to unite the GOP voters in LA.

They conceded this election early on. JBE didn't have any major scandals. That's really all it takes to win reelection here.

Agreed. I was surprised at how poor of a campaign Rispone ran. Abraham was no better.

Now I have my eye on the Supreme Vourt race.

Well, you guys enjoy your football team.

The same demographic group that produces it picks your governors.

Enjoy!

Rispone wanted to be Trump, but missed the part where Trump has tangible ideas. Trump may not have stated his detailed immigration plan at every campaign rally, but laid out his ultimate goal (a wall). Rispone couldn’t articulate a tangible plan to better Louisiana other than “I stand with Trump.” It was uninspiring, and cost the state 4 more years of JBE.

La Republicans are a microcosm of the national party. Incompetent and gutless to a fault.

Unfortunately Louisiana will suffer for it. This state is doomed to mediocrity or failure and the mouth breathing, food stamp users who tilt elections will
Revel in the election results.
I can’t wait
Till I get the opportunity to leave this hopeless hapless state. It will never change.
