He was all over the field last year making plays and I’m not seeing much from him so far this year. Am I missing it? What is going on with him? Does Aranda have him out of position? Is the offense staying away from him? As a safety, I’d think he would be around the ball more.

Lots of quick slants from opposing offenses are maybe working against our strengths on defense? I’m sure Aranda will begin to work through this. I hope Delpit makes more of an impact going forward.

Hopefully he’s making good grades because his play suggests he’ll be at LSU next year too

He was flying around at Texas and was making the right reads; he just missed a few tackles.

No idea about last night

I think he’s missed more tackles in 3 games than he did all of last year.

Can’t utilize his talents to the fullest because of how poor the inside coverage has been this year

A major key to this defense’s success will be for him to return to 2018 form. The pass defense has been the most sketchy. Hoping he gets back to how he played last year.

Looks like he became a vegan over the offseason and switched from weights to palates

He’s regressing and has lost millions over the past couple of weeks

I suspect he has a minor injury

One that subconsciously won’t let him be aggressive when tackling

Pulled muscle. He’s a much better tackler than he has shown

Don't underestimate that Battle's presence in lining up the secondary and protecting the back end allowed Delpit and Adams (before him) to just ball and make plays. Ryan Clark made this point last week.

He has been very quiet, but I won't go that far. If he shows up and makes big plays against the meat of the schedule, they'll forget about the slow start.

We sure he didn’t get mono or something? He looks like he’s dropped weight and doesn’t have the same thump he had in the past.
