Saw this pop up on social media and I think it's a pretty awesome thing to do. CRCL is the organization that does a lot of the marsh grass plantings and volunteer oyster projects in south Louisiana.

Here's to both running backs tearing it up this year.

That’s insulting especially with the stress they put on the environment. Shell could pony up $10 million and they wouldn’t even blink. Instead they’ll give up $60k. Nice PR move but give me a fricking break.

Was wondering who the first nimrod would be to show up with this argument.

This is one of many charitable things Shell is doing. They have donated millions to offshore restoration and environmental causes and will continue to do so.

And as a stockholder with Shell, I can promise you that $10 million isn't something they could just piss away without thinking about it. Margins are tight and have been so for quite a while in all of the business units so cost cutting and even scaling back in some of their community events has happened.

Luckily for us area residents they didn’t decide to move the rest of their deep water support employees to Houston and have agreed to continue to be the marquee sponsor for Jazzfest

If times are that tight for Shell then don’t donate at all. That kind of money for that corporation is insulting. Call me a nimrod but based on your post shell clearly needs the money more than the coast.

It's just a simple gesture and now the coastal group gets a little more money and the Saints, CRCCL, and Shell are tied in on a good challenge.

I shouldn't have said nimrod. I had just finished reading the facebook post and saw the normal trolls who show up on any and everything oil and gas companies announce. It's like they all have a play book they share to help shite on anything that shows up on social media.
