The Athletic's Dane Brugler writes that scouts are taking notice in the improvement of LSU senior QB Joe Burrow.
As they should. Burrow was ridiculously good on Saturday against Texas, throwing for 479 yards and four scores in the 45-38 win. Brugler notes that the 6-foot-3, 212-pound signal-caller has really improved his ball placements, and you can see some examples of that in the article linked. He also notes his underrated ability to move in the pocket and keep his eyes downfield. "Burrow entered the season as my No. 4 senior quarterback prospect," writes Brugler, "but he made a strong case Saturday night why he deserves consideration as the top-ranked senior passer not named Herbert and a potential Day 2 pick."

I vividly recall the late-night posts from you claiming to have inside information that Tom Herman was coming to LSU.

Why do people bring that up about Herman and Jimbo nearly signing with LSU as if the people saying that at the time were running with bad info? Isn't it pretty well documented by now that both Jimbo and Herman were down to the wire on becoming LSU's head coach and it fell apart right at the end? Herman got the 11th hour phone call from Texas and tried to negotiate and we shut him down. Jimbo was all but finalized and then LSU won that game and the fans and team rallied for Miles and F. King pulled the plug on Jimbo. I mean ... both of those things were all but done deals. The people who were telling everyone that it was happening weren't wrong. The deals just crumbled at the last possible moment.

Who cares anymore, anyway? We got Orgeron, and regardless of what everyone's opinion of him was at the beginning I think he's proving he belongs. I'll take his tenure so far at LSU over what the two guys to our west have been able to do at those Texas schools.

Daniel Jeremiah and Lance Zerilien(sp?) were talking him up during the game.

Might be wrong because it's been a while but that's how I recall it as well.

Seems I recall it was dueling sauces, with DA claiming Jimbo was a done deal, and Random claiming Herman was locked up.

He wont make it past the Saints in Round 1. Solid prospect, good height/weight, great work ethic and leadership skills, more familiarity (due to Brady) with Saints offensive concepts than any other QB prospect in the draft, and (last but not least and worth noting) would thrill the fanbase.
