Have you ever heard of Marlyville, or Upper Rickerville? Where are these neighborhoods?

What are the boundaries of Gert Town, or is it Gerttown?

What do you call the slum area between the I-10 and Airline Hwy where Palmetto meets Old Metairie?

Do you call the neighborhood past Faubourg Marigny; “Bywater”, or “The Bywater”? I’ve heard it both ways.

Is that not still considered to be Hollygrove?

Both uptown. I’ve never heard anyone call them that.

I say the bywater, but I’ve also heard it both ways.

It’s just Bywater, but when referencing Uptown it is called “The Uptown”.

I used to live in Hurstsville. You can see it on your property record on the tax assessor site. Pretty cool to then look up the history behind it. No one uses some of those names in conversation though.

Hey 08, when are you ever going to move from The Uptown to THE Bywater? I’m thinking of moving from The Carrollton to The Batture.
