I worked at the old Ms Mae's in college back in the mid 80s. Mixed drinks were 65 cents, and long necks were 70 cents. Plus the 2 for one on Wednesdays. Had a great time working there. Made great money for the time, but putting up with Mae was a pain in the arse. Mr. C. was always cool.

Has been one of my best friends since high school. He just moved from Florida to Natchez about 2 months ago. If you worked at Shanahan's, we also know each other. Was there for the final/last night with Andre.

You gotta go about 3-4 blocks outside city limits, but Pirogue's Whiskey Bayou in Arabi is pretty cheap. Now you do have to put up with the smokers.
