Going to read my first Dostoyevsky novel when I go to the beach next week

I’m going to read “Crime and Punishment” or at least as much of it as I can. Jordan Peterson pushed me towards him. I’ve read from a lot of places that C&P is his best work so I’m pretty excited. Especially as I don’t typically read a lot of novels and stick to military history.

I tried ‘The Brothers Karamazov’. Parts caught my attention, but most was drudgery. I gave up. One of the great failures of my life ??.

It's dry in many parts, but the good parts are among the most famous passages in western lit

The part about The Grand Inquisitor in BK makes the book worth reading.
