Live Pogies in GI

So everyone knows you can catch some monster trout on live pogies in Grand Isle. My question is this: can you buy live pogies somewhere in Grand Isle or are the people fishing with them cast netting to catch their bait? Thanks in advance!

They’re too hard to keep alive for marinas to sell I’m guessing.

This. Good place is the back side of Timbrele (sp)Island.

Oh, 12' net with extra weights is needed.

I think you only throw up to 8.5' in LA.

This is coming from a poster who’s too cheap to buy live croakers, shrimp, cocahoe minnows, hell probably even live worms.
