My wife and I started watching last night. David Tennant is one of our favorites and will watch just about anything he does.

It's a really good show. They way it's presented on TV has the feeling of somewhere between Lemony Snickets and Beetlejuice

Doesn't anyone find it a bit infantile, predictable, cartoonish and harry Potterish?

I find it to be a very "British" take on the subject; quirky, dry humor, and a lot of eloquent banter between the lead pair.

It's not meant to be an epic action show, nor is it meant to be 'dark and gritty'.

Just finished the show with the wife.

It may be bc I love Brit humor (peep show, Monty Python, etc)

But that was one of the most fulfilling 6 hours of TV I've ever watched.

It has everything, great chemistry with all the characters, humor galore, and a story about an Angel and a Demon joining forces and thrawting the Apocalypse.

What a show, Tennent and Sheen's chemistry is unrivaled, and McKean was a nice touch.

Top 5 shows off all time for me

Interesting enough, Gaiman stopped production and wouldnt finish this after Prachette died, but received a posthumous letter from him urging him to complete it, which he did.

I can only hope that the letter also said to finish the sequel book either in book or television form.

What a show

One of the best scenes is Crowley driving his Bentley through hellfire while jamming to Queen’s I’m In Love With My Car!

Up through episode 3. I like the changes they've made. My only complaint so far is Sable's intro. He came across less refined and vicious. And they didn't do much with Elvis.

Actor still did a good job with what was given.

Great acting, great look/visuals. I liked it but I really wanted to love it. I can't put my finger on what was missing to make it great but something was missing. It's almost like it straddled the fence between silly and serious so it wasn't funny enough to be a hilarious comedy but not serious enough to be high stakes end of the world drama either. Make it maybe 10%-15% funnier and it goes from good to great.

For those that don't like this show I have just one question: How many nipples do you have?

Sheen and Tennant are goddamn gold to watch on screen together...

And I am continuously amazed by Michael McKean's talent.

Just finished the show last night and thought it was great. Picked up the book last night and one of the reviews on the back says it's as if Monty Python wrote the Book of Revelations. I think it's more like if Douglas Adams wrote it, but thought that comparison was pretty on point.

Side note: Anathema...

Adams was actually in two Python episodes and wrote a couple of things for them.

She looked like she was in a Pornhub video. Not complaining.

Knocked this out in two sittings. I could not turn it off. Beautifully done series. Sheen and Tennant were a tour de force. I could’ve watched their flashbacks for another 6 episodes straight.

It’s frustrating because you want more but at the same time they built exactly the amount of time they needed where nothing felt too rushed and nothing felt too drug along. Just give me like an animated series of the Sheen and Tennant going throughout history

And I’ll update the thread with more pics since they took down the links for bandwidth

I just started this last night around midnight. Spit the bit around 2:45

I loved the premise, the story, flashbacks, etc.

Love the comradery between the Angel and the Demon. Almost reminded me of a Buddy of mine, 2 polar opposites, and getting each other out of shite storms, while 1 always trying to get the other to do shite that will get both in trouble..

And I definitely agree with the poster that said Neverwhere needs its own series
