I would say that if for some reason Ricks flips somewhere, OSU is the place he would flip (as of now). I think his relationships with the OSU commits is very strong.

Your getting a lot of down votes because our fans don't want what you say to be true. But it does appear that would be the case if he changed his mind about LSU...which I hope he doesn't.

Then he's probably not flipping. All he's talking about is getting ready to play in the SEC.

quote:

“I will be able to enroll early for college right after the season, which was an academic priority for me. Since I’m planning to play college ball in the SEC, this is going to be a good opportunity for me to practice and play against top players from all over the country.”

quote:

“Playing against IMG last year was the most challenging football experience that I have had,” Ricks said. “I had to give everything I had on every single play. This is what I will need to be ready to handle in the SEC and I can’t wait!

quote:

He told us last week at The Opening Finals it will take something major, ie.) a coaching change, to get him to flip from his commitment to LSU.

So either you thought it was funny or you keep bringing it up endlessly? It's not possible for someone to think it was dumb, but never feel the need to comment on it?

No but who am I. We have the best secondary year in and year out, just had two DB's in the pre season 1st team all american and he would start from day one so from my unimportant opinion I don't even see him "re opening" his commitment much less flipping.

The rumors About his parents buying a house in Baton Rouge is probably true, and his little brother probably still will go to school here. So he wasn’t really lying when he said he wasn’t living in Baton Rouge, he’s going to go live in Florida at IMG, and after he graduates he’s going to move to Baton Rouge with his parents, he will be a early enrollee so he can start getting ready to carry on the DBU tradition

Maybe this is part of Coach O's secret plan to put his lock CB on the IMG team, with the goal of recruiting offensive Linemen?

You’re guessing... that’s exactly how this rumor started. Someone was guessing.

This isn't a surprise to the staff for those wondering. This has been the plan he told them for a while now
Elias did say over a month ago that the staff knew his plans.

Which insiders claimed the move was BR?

Was this ever confirmed? I think it was just a couple of posters speculating what he might do.
I believe that everyone that plays for IMG Academy is homeschooled.

Some of yall need to just give it up and stop following recruiting altogether. People freak out over the dumbest shite in regards to these recruits. Look, Ricks is a hard commit to LSU and is one of the biggest recruiters for our program among other prospects bc everyone knows who the frick Elias Ricks is in college football recruiting. Why should it bother anybody that he chose to go play his senior year at the best hs football program in the nation in order to further prepare himself for when he gets to LSU? Personally, I'm glad he's at a program like IMG, where he can represent LSU football around other talented prospects on his team. shite, this may end up being a blessing in disguise in regards to other prospects that he can possibly sway to join him here. It's like yall think he is being sketchy and going behind our coaches backs by doing this, when in reality, they definitely know what his plans/intentions are for playing there. Hell, maybe this was planned out by coach O and our staff for other reasons that we don't know about at the moment. Chill out, he's going to be an LSU Tiger.

In regards to the other programs being strung along by him, it doesn't bother me in the least either, and I'm kinda glad he's doing it. Any amount of attention, time, and resources that other top programs squander while recruiting him does nothing but help LSU and hurt them in the process. Let them waste their energy focusing on Ricks and lose out on other top prospects that they could be going after. Lol, it's genius. Geaux Tigers.

Elias Ricks now at IMGSoooo what happened about him being homeschooled to graduate early and preparing to be at LSU....

Why would someone be "homeschooled" to graduate early, miss an entire year of football(his senior year no less), and early enroll in December so he can prepare here? Is using the tiger weight room early that beneficial? I really think some of our fanbase has battered wife syndrome and can't see anything as a positive. Sad. Look I'm all for our #1 recruit to transfer to IMG so that he can face the only WR's in the country to test him and challenge him to improve everyday and on Fridays. This is Rick's absolute best move to continue to grow as a DB in highschool.
