If we beat Texas on the road (who could likely win the Big XII) and also beat Auburn, Florida, and A&M--with our only loss being to Bama IN Tuscaloosa--we're in. Book it.
that means 2 Power 5 conference champs are left out. And it would mean the SEC East champ, which lost to Bama in the SECCG would get left out too.

Long odds.

What happens if UT beats Oklahoma in a rematch in the Big 12 championship game leaving Oklahoma 12-1, UGA goes 12-1 with their only loss coming in the SECCG to Bama, and both Bama and Clemson are undefeated?

Our schedule is actually is doable for 11-1 season. Obvi win the cupcake games.

Texas
Florida
Miss St.
Auburn
Bama
A&M

Those 6 our the toughest games this year. FOUR of them are at home. Take care of business at home. and beat Miss St. in Starkville.

Lose to Bama. Ok? 11-1. We should make it to the playoffs even if we don't play in the SEC championship game IMO.

11-2

Georgia Southern W
at Texas W
Northwestern St. W
at Vanderbilt W
Utah State W
Florida W
Mississippi St. W
Auburn W
at Alabama L
at Ole Miss W
Arkansas W
Texas A&M W
Clemson L

So no SEC Championship and no National Championship but still a great season that finally includes a playoff berth (and as the # 3 seed, which is pretty great).

I feel like we slip up and lose a second game, but I just don't know which one it would be. Florida seems like the obvious choice. I think Gus may be gone by the time we play Auburn, and it won't be Mississippi State. A loss to Arky or Ole Miss would take all of the wind out of the season, just don't see those happening. We're gonna push the Aggies shite in on them after last year.

I fear you're right, but at this time I have to just geaux all heart on it. And yes, Florida definitely concerns me as well. Texas A&M will fight like hell too, no doubt, but you're absolutely right LSU will be higher than high for that a*s!

12-0 Regular Season (8-0 SEC)

Why not go for the Gold? I think this is our year to beat Alabama, finally!

Texas would be a nonfactor in that scenario, IMO; however, UGA could have an argument. I think it would come down to how we both matched up against common opponents: Bama, UF, Auburn, TAMU.
