If you're saying this as a negative, he had pretty much all 5 when the game was out of hand and he was going for the Hollywood pass. It's only two games, but so far he's been pretty tight when the game is in hand. He gets looser once we're blowing the other team out. Which is just natural IMO. I would wait to criticize until he's turnover prone when the game matters. Or when he commits turnovers doing routine things, not trying to go behind the back off the dribble to set up the monster dunk.

It's just one game, so it's not a thing to panic about. Like you said, they aren't overly careless turnovers or struggles with fundamental passes. But some of those turnovers were overzealous whip passes that he simply will need to tone down against NBA defenders. All else considered and the IQ he possesses, I think that's going to be a short adjustment for him.

This isn’t true. They are the 5 seed and there are games tomorrow. Pretty much a lock for the 5 seed possibly the 4 since Memphis/Boston play tomorrow so one of them will drop to 3-1

Yeah. I found that site and it sure looks like they have us as 5 seed currently.

Just pointing out that the tools will be in the tourney

Probably against the Heat or the loser of the Memphis/Boston game. NAW and Didi against Herro would be a fun matchup.

He’s a smart kid. He’s testing passes, shots, moves and etc to see what works and what doesn’t. I’ll be concerned if he doesn’t learn from it. Summer league is the perfect environment for this. He’s well ahead of the class and seeing the high number of minutes he’s getting, I wouldn’t doubt that the staff wants him to get as much game experience to prepare him for camp and the season. He’s going to be in the rotation from day 1. I have no doubts about that.

How is that ridiculous? You think the five turnovers were problematic regardless of the context in which they occurred? Or you disagree with the assessment of how/when they occurred?

Or you think it’s ridiculous to make any assessment at all in summer league?

These young kids have a long way to go. The weak pick and rolls wont work in NBA. Have to run better offense.

Someone tell Jax to set better picks, someone tell NAW that we know he can score, run the O and distribute.
