Well, I think it's official that Google really doesn't have a design team.

Same here, I have an unlocked Pixel XL and have zero reason to 'upgrade'.

Chiming in from a Pixel 2 XL, echo the others about best phone I have owned.
Not too worried about the design - they really aren't renowned for them in the first place.

What's wrong with the design?
My biggest worry is it appears there won't be a physical fingerprint reader and they're moving the bottom speakers under the phone.

Has a notch. No thank you. I'd rather they go the pop-up front facing camera like OnePlus or have small top and bottom bezels to incorporate the camera and speakers.

I heard that there won't be a fingerprint sensor at all and there will just be face unlock. There's going to be a bezel at the top of the phone with a ton of cameras and sensors in it

Well the linked article in OP clearly states that it has a notch and is where that is from. 
Granted it's all leaks/rumors either way.

Which I have no issue with.

Agreed. It's so not an issue. Now I'm not ready to go back to 2 inch foreheads but this need to get to 0 bezel is silly.

I find bezelless to be harder to control...especially when you don't use a case to keep your fingers from encroaching the sides of the screen.
