Have read his big 2 (BK and C&P)

Want to read the rest of his stuff because those were so good

Should I read Notes from Underground next?

It's a solid, quick read.

BK is my favorite book of all time not named Huck Finn. So there's that.

Crime and Punishment is my favorite work of his. I need to go back and reread The Brothers Karamazov, though.

Read that in English lit at UNO or Nicholls. We read The Double and Notes from the Underground. Maybe another I can’t remember. I enjoyed both.

Only one I've read of Dostoevsky is The Idiot. It's written in two parts, part one and part two. Really enjoyed part one, couldnt put it down. When i got to part two my interest faded. Maybe I'll pick it up again soon.
I recommend it.

Basic summary main character Myshkin is a Christ like figure in the world at that time. He is the embodiment of good, but only human not divine.

Having read lots of his stuff both in Russian ( ) and translated, he really is the best of the Russian writers.

Don't get me wrong - Solzhenitsyn's work is extraordinarily compelling, but Dostoevsky could make anything compelling, a recipe or a description of a rock.

And, I'm still partial to Crime and Punishment.

Probably. But, there is no wrong answer for his published works.

I just finished Notes from Underground and I didn't really like it. The first part had some interesting philosophical insights, but this was an odd book that I couldn't get immersed in.

Maybe Demons or The Idiot next, if you still want to go down this road.
