Or maybe I fought it over and over with 2 and gave up and played a few hours of 3 and while maybe it was better, still wasn't fun, so why play it if it doesn't seem fun.
But listen close, because some of you are already triggered: not saying it's a bad game, I know it's widely considered great, but I personally don't enjoy playing it.

I have 21*days* in W3 (I was laid off for 3 months) and I loved every minute of that game

I don’t like Witcher controls either.

The Witcher 3 controls aren't awesome but they also aren't terrible like some people say. You quickly get used to the supposed quirks within a few hours and never think about them again.
It's easy to forgive B- controls when almost every other aspect of the game is an A+

I'm right there with you. I hate the controls in The Witcher 3. I hope to finish it one day though.
