help with Boulder,CO trip

guys trip for fishing, hiking, eating, drinking ,etc. would prefer to stay walking distance to bars and restaurants and drive to outdoor activities
any must sees? will definitely do one day at RMNP

I really like basecamp boulder as a place to stay and HQ.

I lived in Boulder for ten years. There is an area downtown called The Pearl Street Mall that is a pedestrian area. On and off that mall are dozens of bars and restaurants. It’s a total foodie city. Just park down there and walk around until you find a place you like.
On Friday and Saturday night the street performers are there . That’s always fun and the crowds are cool. There are always groups of people getting stoned on the courthouse lawn and there are microbrews everywhere.
The Boulderado Hotel is fun as hell and the best location but there are a bunch in the area . Most would require you drive a mile or so to get to downtown ( Pearl Street Mall ). I’d just find anything that appeals to you and do Uber. It’s a very small town you can be anywhere in 10 minutes.

Chatauqua ( a must ) for hiking
My Sanitas for stair climber hike
Flagstaff Mountain for nice views of city
Boulder Canyon ( nice drive or bike ride)
Boulder Creek - water stuff
Boulder is a top ten city in the USA imho. That I traded it in for Baton Rouge tells you the sacrifices I have made for Mrs Pimp.

Pimp gave some great advice.
I would add go west up Boulder Canyon to Nederland. It’s a sweet little town with some good fishing all around, including Barker Res.

Nederland also sits at the doorstep of Indian Peaks Wilderness, which has a TON of sweet hikes and alpine likes to fish trout. Diamond Lake is one of the easier hike to alpine lakes up there.

Just do some research on the IPW and find some hikes and spots yall would like to fish. Make sure you get licenses, as Rangers and Game Wardens frequent trailhead parking lots and check for them when they see fishing gear.

Dude-you have no idea how I grieve the passing of the near-perfection of my misspent youth spent cycling in Sunshine Canyon, waking up on couches in Nederland, trail running Mt Sanitas, hanging out on the roof of the West End, going to The Shakespeare Festival under the stars, going to Buffs games, drinking lattes at Peaberries on Broadway, having cocktails at The Boulderado, eating a hung-over burger at The Dark Horse, eating Moe's bagels, etc etc....
Those were the best days of my life. I was truly where I was meant to be.

If you like ethnic food eat at Sherpa's. Great nepalese food at awesome price. They have bikes to rent all over the place for getting around. I would check out the air bnb's too.

In town hikes—-Bear Mountain, starting by parking at NCAR is a great and strenuous 5-6 hour round trip hike if you are an in- shape flatlander. For a great stairclimber type one hour hike try MT Sanitas. And for a great view just do the Mesa trail at Chataqua and take that to the Second Flatiron. Others I can recommend are Gregory Canyon, the Royal Arch , Saddle Rock and Green Mountain.

I took my New Orleans nephews(18 and 21) on the royal arch and 1/2 flat irons hike this fall. Took us about 6 hrs with breaks. It has some steep parts, I’d say it’s a moderate hike. We parked at Gregory Canyon and it was about 6 miles with 2500’ elevation gain. I recommend it.

Yeah, it's highly likely if you reached a peak that you were on Green Mountain. That's a great hike and moderate . Bear Mountain to the south is FAR more strenuous.
As for a moderate hike, I'd just park at Chatauqua or on Baseline and take the steps. When those end in 10-12 minutes you want to turn left (south) for a very brief time and then head back north up the 2nd Flatiron. It has the best payoff in the shortest time. You'll be at the top in around an hour. Very gradual and has some incredible overlooks where you can see Downtown Denver.
Saddle Rock would be another good option. To do that drive beyond Chatauqua to the next trailhood at the base of Lookout Mountain. There you can go either Gregory Canyon or Saddle Rock and both are great. Saddle Rock will give you better Boulder city views. Gregory Canyon is more of a canyon view.
If it's a cold day and you have strong quads I recommend Mt Sanitas (stairclimber mode) at the base of Sunshine Canyon (This was my go-to timed daily hike for years) because it's full sun the entire way and then you can hike down the other side. Royal Arch is also cool because it has elevation gains and then back down several times.

Who has the best burger in Boulder? I'm going there for a family trip in July (me, parents and 15 year old kid).

Reubens Burger Bistro 1800 Broadway has great burgers. Try a buffalo burger.
Best Brew Pub-is I'm the wrong guy to ask. The Mountain Sun seems to be the overwhelming favorite, but I defer to the experts here. My niche in Boulder is hiking.

If you are a real flatlander just do the Mesa trail loop.At one point it gives you an option to head over to the Royal Arch which is more moderate.
