Does any body know how his combine went the other day?

A freaky 7ft 6in frame and 310 pounds that alone I say is good for 2nd round pick.
Plus Zion can make Tacko tougher at practice.

I just don't get the infatuation with him. He's tall...and he'll be in and out of Nelson's care thanks to foot, ankle, and likely knee trouble all his short career.

But whatever. A 2nd round pick is worth it.

He's absurdly long and he moves like a glacier.

You don’t draft a player solely based on the fact that he is big. You draft players that have size and a projectable skill set to the next level that you have a vision for. Tacko literally has no skill set that is on an NBA level besides being ridiculously large, which, if I’m being honest, is more of a detriment than an advantage in today’s NBA. He can’t shoot, can’t play the passing lanes despite that “freakish length”, defend the p n r, defend the perimeter, can’t pass, can’t make free throws, doesn’t draw fouls, etc etc.

Tacko will be a G league player at best, possibly overseas in some lower tier league.

On the bright side, he is hella smart, and considered a genius in whatever engineering field he was studying in college, and said he would fall back on that if basketball doesn’t work out.

NBA is starting an Africa NBA league. He can go there and learn to play.

Aside from huge he's not as good as high end Catholic 7th graders who've been coached and played since they could tie their own shoes.

That's what I meant by Nelson's care.

I just can't trust someone that abnormally tall to be healthy long term. Not in a sport like basketball. Too much weight on too small a landing pad. He'd be fun as hell to see, no doubt. I've always wanted to stand next to someone that tall just to experience it...closest was when I saw DeMarcus Cousins at Costco. He was bitching at workers because they couldn't help his man servant with a safe.

Funny stuff.

Well that's bullshite. It's basically impossible to be skilled at his size because you're oversized and can not move. Yao's the only 7'5'' and above guy who would be able to play in today's NBA. It's not that he doesn't know how to play, he's probably maximized what he can physically do.

The infatuation is all from when UCF almost beat Duke in the Tournament. Tacko pretty much shut Zion down paint wise. And when he wasnt on the court Zion ate.
