While not technically called "Mother" and not necessarily as good as the two songs in the thread title the Genesis song "Mama" is pretty solid as well
Genesis "Mama"
Genesis "Mama"

I always liked both but Pink Floyd for me. I view it as much of an emotional song and does well with depicting how a mother will do anything in her power to protect her baby.
Danzig's Mother was a song that I'd turn up loudly on the radio and sing at the top of my lungs, even though I didn't pay attention to all of the words.

I was going to quibble with this, but I can't argue with your phrasing here.
However, it should be noted this is not the message of the song. The message of the song (which is a lot more clear in the context of the film, but it is there in the plain lyrics) is that dysfunctional relationships between overbearing mothers and their overprotected sons result in those sons having sexual hangups and serious difficulties in connecting with others, particularly women.
