Chicago in June
Heading to Chicago June 7-10 for the Cubs-Cardinals series. Will be doing the wrigleyville/game saturday night.

Looking for recs for some entertainment friday night for young adults (high twenties). Also, looking for a fine dining experience sunday night to celebrate a one year anniversary.

Any other recommendations for some must-do's in the city are much appreciated.

re: Chicago in June
- In your 20s and prefer bars over clubs/lounges, I would recommend Lincoln Park, Logan Square, Old Town, or Wicker Park. Lakeview has plenty of bars, too, but you'll be in the area for the Cubs game, so no reason to go on Friday night. Logan and Wicker, in particular, have a good mix of bars and cocktail bars. If you'd prefer a club/lounge, head into River North. Let me know if you would like, specific, recommendations.

- When I hear fine-dining, I immediately think Alinea, Boka, S.K.Y., etc. Not sure if that would be too over-the-top, though. Personally, my best experiences with "fine-dining" are delicate, diverse menus with a lively, casual atmosphere. With that in mind, Logan Square and West Loop have plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Again, happy to shoot some, specific, recommendations, but a few quick spots: Girl and the Goat, Giant, Oriole, Blackbird, Publican, Fat Rice, Roister, Smyth, Fulton Market Kitchen, and Cabra (recently-opened Stephanie Izard restaurant/lounge in the Hoxton).

- Not sure what other recommendations you might be hoping for, but I'm in my late-20s, too, so I can point you in whatever direction you're looking.

- Also, I would recommend everyone use search to find Chicago topics. There are a lot.

re: Chicago in June
My wife and I just got back from Chicago this past weekend, celebrating our 34th anniversary over 4 days. While we are older (upper 50's), we eat and drink well with younger people. We ate at Girl & the Goat (interesting food, but award winning, loved by the 20's and 30's crowd), Trattoria #10 (Italian food and in the theater district) and Chicago Chop House (great classic steakhouse). For drinks, we went to Signature Lounge on the 96th floor of the Hancock building (great views and drinks, but older crowd). Went to Cindy's rooftop at the Chicago Athletic Club (lots of young people and great drink menu) and the London House Rooftop Bar (tons of young people, great drinks and view). Also, went day drinking at Michael Jordan's Restaurant (nothing great) and Hampton Social (met one of our daughter's friends here and most people were in their mid-to-late 20's). Also, went day drinking at the Palmer House Hotel Bar (older crowd), we saw the Hamilton play and went to a Cubs afternoon game. All of the bars around Wrigley field are fun and we especially liked Murphy's Bar by the bleacher's entrance. Yes, we did all of this in 4 days and 3 nights. Lastly, I would highly recommend the architecture boat tour. We used Shoreline. 75 minutes on the river and very interesting and gives you the lay of the land in Chicago. The 10 a.m. tour is most popular. Cheers.

Stay in River North area.

Do a booze cruise the night y’all arrive. Then dinner. Great way to kick off the trip.
