Sticker symbol confusion during IPOs (Zoom)

So today, I got in and just plugged in ZOOM and a company popped up (Zoom technologies Inc). After looking at their chart, I quickly realized it wasn't the Zoom (Sticker ZM) that's IPOing today.
Well ZM finally went live and the other unrelated stock (ZOOM) soared as well (over 60%).
And I'm pretty sure I've see this happen before. How the frick does that happen?
Hell I feel like after opening that other Zoom, I should have anticipated this and made some money .

Human participants that are prone to error. For a different example, this Time article from 2013 titled "Czech Republic Forced to Remind the Internet That Chechnya Is in Different Country After Boston Bombing." It doesn't matter that the knowledge of the world is now at our fingertips via the internet, we're still aren't going to do a simple search to check and make sure.
But muh efficient markets with logical participants.
