I remember just how happy I was when this happened. This is also a reminder of why kids' opinions are usually stupid

fricking Ditka. What a pathetic little experiment he was. When Jim Haslett turns out to be objectively better as a head coach, you know you've lost "it".

I was too

and then on the opening kickoff that year against the Panthers they fumbled. The Saints recovered it and ran it back for a TD. I thought man its gonna be a fun year

Did anybody else notice Derek Stingley on the left side of the cover?

Look at it this way, it's not like Ditka/Khuharich picked a lot of winners with the draft picks they did use!

well, we did end up getting some good pics from Miami after trading Ricky. Anyone remember who we used those picks on ?

ETA: N/M

On March 8, 2002, the Saints traded Williams to the Dolphins for a first-round selection in the 2002 draft and a conditional third-round selection in 2003, which was eventually upgraded to a first-round pick in 2003 based on Williams' performance. In addition, the teams swapped positions in the fourth round of the 2002 draft, dropping the Saints from 114th overall to 125th overall.

The Saints would eventually choose defensive end Charles Grant (25th overall) with that 2002 first round pick and Keyuo Craver with the swapped fourth round pick. In the 2003 draft, the Saints traded their newly acquired first round pick (18th overall), along with their own first round pick (17th overall) to the Cardinals in order to move up to 6th overall, where they selected Jonathan Sullivan.
