Which laptop for me

I need it for personal use. I don't want a touch screen. Needs to be fast! I need something this is my main, most powertful pc. $600+ I'm not so sure. I think the $499 one may be all I need but I'm not so sure.
There are many to choose from. I need one that can last like Macbook's do.

What are you going to be doing with it?
If it's going to be nothing more than an email/facebook machine or to stream a movie, pretty much anything you get with Windows 10 these days will do the trick.
If you're going to be gaming or editing large picture or video files, that's another story.

Anything less than 500.00 and your into throw away land. They work great for a year or two, then usually the hard drive implodes.
