Anyone else love this book?

Had to read it at brother Martin 25 years ago in 8th grade and now listening to it as a father of three. McCammon does an amazing job of capturing the world through a young boy’s eyes. One of my all time favorites.

Great book. I loved how he was able to capture the magic of childhood. Was there really a dinosaur at the carnival? It only matters that the kids believed there was a dinosaur. Did his bike really have magic protective powers? Doesn't matter. The book is about what the children believe to be true. Join me, down in the dark.

Great book. Liked it better than IT, but not as much as Summer of Night.

Thank you for recommending this book. Really enjoyed it. I grew up in a small town during the time in which the book is set, so could relate. I kept thinking while I was reading how this would be a great G. del Toro movie.

I read this 10-15 years ago, and I genuinely don't remember anything about it. I will dig it out of my storage this weekend and roll with it again. The benefits of a terrible memory is that every time I read a book it's experiencing it for the first time
