Anyone else disappointed? I love the new series of TR games but there was something missing from this one. Story was convoluted, side quests were all just fetch quests, and it seemed shorter than Rise. I got to the point of no return and was shocked at how quickly it happened. Just seemed overall thinner than Rise even with some added platforming dynamics and crafting stuff.

I always had trouble spending skill points too because the skills just weren't very cool. Harvest more health materials? I'm always full, the shite is everywhere around you throughout the game.

The tombs and crypt puzzles were still cool, especially the Goonies one. But overall it was worse than Rise which is why I was so disappointed. Was hoping for a deeper game than the previous one and it just had less content.

The story of the first one (Tomb Raider) was probably my favorite.

The second was a nice improvement, especially with the stealth kill improvement.

The 3rd was a bit of a mess. It was lazily done where all the NPCs looked the same and the interactions were not realistic.

Tomb Raider is over the top, but Shadow was way over.

Tombs that could kill was a nice add though.

The one redeeming thing was playing it in 4K and Dolby Atmos. The audio was legit creepy and good.

I agree that it was a mess, I felt like I needed to do side quests just to extend the game to get my money's worth. Why is there so much map when you don't really go anywhere once you get to Paititi? I admit it may be some DLC and I just haven't checked.

the gameplay was about the same as the others. The story was not great. In fact it was a total mess. I still had fun for most of the game. I like to do all the side stuff and by the end, I was hoping it would end and praying a new section wouldn't open up.

So I liked it up to a point, then it was boring.

In the middle of the game, I would have given it a positive review. By the end, I need to put disclaimers that if you liked the other 2, you will probably like this one albeit with a weaker story.

I'm about to start it. That's disappointing because personally thought the first one was better than Rise.

It's not terrible or anything, just felt shorter to me. It's just like the previous two but set in Mexico.

Felt too long to me which isn't exactly a ringing endorsement.

I just started. Maybe 1.5 hours in. So far I like it more than Rise, but that could change. Well see

Lora looks funny, like to perfect.
