This was a Matt Canada recruit if I remember correctly. He liked these types of TE/FB/HB.

Was never going to play here. Another dud from the 2018 class.

Yep, exactly what I was thinking at the time. That statement was brutal.

Last year when he was redshirting I read 2 conflicting reports, the first said that Sheffer would never see the field at LSU and the other said next year Zach Sheffer will be LSU'S starting Tight End. I guess someone knew what they were talking about.

From what I was told, the staff knew this kid wasn't going to cut it early on in practice so this was only a matter of time. The 2018 evals on the lower rated recruits appears to have been awful. Making matters worse, Sheffer and Scott who both entered the portal this week weren't late adds. Both got on board the summer before their senior year.

There was a white LB from Arkansas during the Saban years, can't recall his name. After his first practice the linebacker coach told Saban the kid would never play a down here. I don't think he made it to the next Spring.

It happens to every coach and program but you can't laud coach O for bringing in the #15 rated recruiting class in the country because he's an expert evaluator and then watch all the guys who dragged that class ranking down bounce out of the program within a year.

Well, when you don't use or play these kids I look for this to happen, no surprise here. I just think they waste talent at LSU, you can at least play these kids in games to see what they can do before allowing them to transfer. I'm not surprised seeing Netherly in there too, another player never used in a game, but I am surprised seeing Scott in there. I thought he was supposed to be a really promising LB/DE type of talent, and now he's transferring or trying to. Ensminger of course as everyone knows is not the answer at OC and needs to be replaced, he is not creative on offense, and TE's are hardly thrown to in his type of shite offense. Sheffer never got or had a chance after Canada left.

Honestly, I though Moffet would be asked to look. But I guess you don’t tell theS&C son to do that.

I was really hoping that Scott and cotton stay.
