But Randle doesn’t need to be on the Mavs for them to resign him. Any team with enough cap space can sign him this offseason, like the mavs

Randle isn't the primary motivator in this trade for the Mavs, it's a Porter for Barnes swap. Like I just said I would think Washington's goal in a Porter trade is getting out of the tax and getting a 1st. Dallas might like the idea of a locked up Porter over a Barnes that could walk, but they certainly wouldn't give up a 1st for it. That's where the Pels come in, they would pay a 1st for Barnes if the trade checked enough other boxes, and I think dumping Hill while getting more depth in Sato/Kleber would be all the motivation the Pels need. The Pels need to send Randle out to make this all work. Change the 2 Dallas 2nds going to the Pels into one or none if you think he doesn't motivate them.

Imo, the 10 stretch of games they are in right now will be the determining factor on if they were to move Beal or not..

@Thunder (W)
@76ers (L)
76ers (W)
Bucks (W)
Raptors
Knicks
Pistons
Warriors
@Magic
@Spurs

If they beat the Raptors tomorrow night, then I think it's time to move on from Beal as they wont move him..

If they would have lost 2 of the 3 they've won, I think itd be far more likely they would start listening more and more

Randle still would be a big piece. First, it helps them try to get into playoffs this year. Second, it gives them a head start on selling him and getting to know him. If he finishes the season with another team and 7 teams are after him, Mavs are just one of 7. But if he finishes the season with them, they have a significant head start on the other 6 if they want to keep him

Well I also know that Toronto wants Bradley Beal too. At the least, maybe the Pels could play facilitator and come away with a Delon Wright and/or Danny Green without giving up much then still have the assets in play for Barnes or Porter.

If Wiz trade Beal (which I doubt they will), he will be a Pel or a Net

Tons of possibilities. But it all starts with Beal
Sadly with the way he and the Wizards are playing, I think that ship has sailed.

Okay, after 100 proposed trades, I finally got the deal:

Mavs Get: Otto Porter, J. Randle, D. Howard, Wes Johnson

Wash gets: Wesley Matthews, Solomon Hill and one 2nd from Pels + two 2nds from Mavs (and below tax)

Pels get: Harrison Barnes, Satoransky, M. Kleber

Ugh. That is horrible.

will say that that trade seems unrealistic. Dumping Hill and getting Barnes/Satoransky for the price of Randle and a 2nd? Pels win that trade by a mile which probably won't happen

and for Barnes worst thing is making playoffs.
He will be spotlighted as choke art.

Doncic passes out of the double team to Barnes for open 19 footer for the win.

Oh noooooo. In and out. So close.

That trade would be an improvement.
Not happening.
