Disneyland March or Memorial Day weekend?

Question- We are taking the kids to the LA area and want to spend 2/3 days at Disneyland.
Our two choices are second week in March or Memorial Day weekend(kids birthday). we would stay the two days after Memorial Day.
Almost all of Cali goes on spring break in either late March or April and the crowd calenders say its not too bad until about March 15th on for Spring Break. We would be going the 10-12th.
Any thoughts on these two dates and if they'd be ok? I know its going to be crowded, i just dont want CRAZY crowded.
Also, anyone have any thoughts on Majestic Garden hotel?

March. Holidays are crazy around Disneyland. Weekends and holidays are the most reliable crowd increases.
It can get hot by late May too. March is a much better chance of cool weather, which personally, makes things a lot less punishing.

Beginning of March would be better IMHO, but the castle will probably still be closed by then, if that's important to you.

oh man thats a bummer. how big a deal is not being able to go in the castle? my two daughters arent going to like that
id prefer Memorial day because its my kids bday and i can lock $188 round trip tickets from DFW to LAX right now. Its $413 for March per person
But every crowd calendar says its nuts memorial day weekend, plus they have grad night those days which means every LA area kid gets in free that graduates in 2019. Ive had many people tell me it has more of a "county fair" clientele when that happens.

Now I’m confused. I’ve seen many calendars that say Memorial Day weekend is nuts and then just saw this on a Disneyland blog
3. Memorial Day Weekend isn’t that crowded
Memorial Day Weekend crowds, where are you? xanderiot95
You heard that right. Just because it’s a holiday weekend, doesn’t mean that Disneyland is going to be packed. The parks have actually been manageable over Memorial Day Weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) in recent years. The reason? All annual passes (except the highest tier) are blocked out. On top of that, there are no Grad Nites that weekend either, so it’s historically a great time to visit.

DL's castle actually has a walkthrough attraction that tells the story of Sleeping Beauty.
