Is it worth it for a 9/10 handicap?
Where are the events?
What’s the buy in?
Do you pay greens fees each day?
Do you pay in for each tournament?
What are the payout?
How bad do people cheat? (Present company noted)
I play in a regular group, but would love to have a reason to see the state and play other courses. Is it worth it or is it a jerk-off fest for a small group of really good players?

Sure, as long as you can move it around and know the rules you definitely won't be in anyone's way. Most will be happy for you to be out there, but of course there'll be a guy or two that think he's on the pro tour and be mad that an 80s shooter is in his group.

If you want to pay for it it's worth it. I've found most buy ins aren't really that much more than what the green fees would be.

So is the buy in separate from the green fee?
I can handle a few of those frickers, but not an entire tournament of them. Is it flighted?

All that I've seen is you just pay for the tournament and it comes with the tourny rounds and usually a practice round, but these are Texas Am Tour events.

I know Golf Channel Am Tour are and some Texas Am Tour are, can't speak to Louisiana

Hmmm...I want to go play all of those courses, but I don;t know if I can commit to playing them all.
It also looks like I am on the line between A and B flights.

You don't have to play all the events. Just play the ones you can make. I would love for you to join and put some money in the skins pot so I can take it
