Crepinsek is the best as it's balanced. After that it's really elite then black widow/edge with edge prolly getting the nod due to interchangeable handles. But on both the padding is much much harder than elite.

Watson is up there with crepinsek but it's stupid expensive.

I would not squat with a bar that has the term “widow” in its name! Squatting is bad enough already!

black widow is just the name brand, besides like HFU said widowmakers are the bees knees.

I’ve only used the Elitefts ssb. I think it’s damn pretty good, but be prepared to be humbled the first few times you use an ssb

From my experience, once I adjusted to the ssb, my regular squats shot up and I felt much more stable in the bottom position and coming out of the hole

Had to make a last second decision and went with Ellie. The black Friday sale was only that day and the crepinsek offices were closed so I couldn't try to price match.

Probably going to go with the 5" stub handles. Any thoughts on that?

most people like the short handles like that. I have not used the longer ones to know which i would like better.

Super nice guy. Asked me if I wanted to change anything about the bar like length or angle. Told me about his Australian Shepard and how often he takes his dog out and plays fetch, the history behind the bar and other things. Told me to tell my mom who has a rotator cuff injury to use a book bag to counter balance so she can squat.....

So ended up with the 2nd version of the Titan SSB. Got it in today, not bad shipping. Few little Knicks and welds look like a 5 year old did it, but price was right and it's an exact clone of the elite ssb.

Would have went crepnsek but couldn't afford it right now.

I've been loving mine. I'm so glad I got an SSB.
