Currently with Charter, but yesterday AT&T was digging holes on our street to install fiber. I know the speeds are significantly higher, but what is everyone's opinion on the reliability of it? I'm assuming it can't be any worse than what I have now with Charter.

I swapped from Xfinity to it. Honestly it’s a little less reliable. But it’s a hell of a lot faster. But a couple times a month the entire neighborhood will be in the Facebook group complaining about it acting funny.

I'm holding out hope for it, so sick of Cox. Seems like they've been working on our street for a year though.

Can't stand AT&T. I will not ever be a party to that.

I switched from cox to ATT fiber and Uverse about 2 years ago.

Have had absolutely 0 issues with ATT and pull the advertised 1000mbps. No issues with TV either.

I constantly had issues with Cox and of course they have the absolute worst customer service.

I'd say this depends...Once they were in my neighborhood it didn't take any time at all to get hooked up

They're burying fiber in my neighborhood. We have two pedestals in my back yard so they've been going back there. Hope I can get their fiber in the next 6 months

Same. Plus it is $80, as opposed to nearly twice that for slower speeds from Comcast.

I switched from Cox to AT&T a little over a year ago. I was resetting my cox modem at least once a week. Not once with AT&T so far. Zero outages also. The install took a better part of a day though.

Is there still a router option with fiber that is better than another?

Probably, but I just got whatever they gave me. Works great.

Oh I had no issues with ATT for product. But I had a huge issue with their customer service and price point. They are one of the biggest money grabbers out there, which would be fine if there were other options, but they have created so many monopolies there really aren't many other options, I got out of their mobile service 5 years ago, but it wasn't until this summer that I had another option for internet. ATT would only give me 18 mbps down, now spectrum gives me 200 for cheaper, unfortunately ATT bought them so I am sure it will go away soon.

They strung fiber in our neighborhood and, and after called for service, it was installed, up and running 5 days later.

They ruined DirecTV. But hey, if you have an issue with their customer service, take their advice and contact customer service.

Here in Huntsville we've heard LOTS of complaints about AT&T fiber. One of the reasons we waited for Google to come here. I haven't had any issues with my Google Fiber.

I’m definitely trying it out once available. Charter here goes out for just a minute basically every night, along with random significant speed drops. If AT&T ends up not cracking it we will just swap back.

I have it and other that it slowing down once or so a month we haven’t had any issues.

Running Hulu and 2-4 computers and phones in it constantly.
