Where did you stay? What did you like or not like about it?
Searching for a hotel in March, mid priced, central location. Wife wants a bathtub and at least a queen size bed. We are kicking a few places around. The places I like the best are twins pushed together and to say my wife hates that would be an understatement (and yes, we have been to Europe many times and have experienced that many times).
I only care about location.

I stayed at the ritz Arts hotel last June. It is pricey but I had Marriot points to use. Doesn’t look like it’s in your price range but the location was great. We wanted on the water. Perhaps check if they have a cheaper hotel in that area.

We stayed at the K+K Picasso. My only complaint was the room was a bit warm even with a/c, but it was August. We walked everywhere. It's close to the city beaches but also not far from anything else. The park across the street is nice. It's also very quiet. The included breakfast wasn't too shabby either.

I agree with the K&K Picasso. We stayed there for a week in 2016. Perfect location. It is in the El Born neighborhood across from Citadel Park. The marina is two blocks away, Las Ramblas is about a 10 minute walk, and between the hotel and Las Ramblas are all of the Old Town and Gothic Quarter attractions along with many fantastic restaurants. There is a HO-HO bus stop right outside the door. I recommend it highly.

Looking at the K+K and The Mirror in Barcelona currently but am still very open. My wife kind of likes one of the hotels in the Rick Steves book that doesn't look too great to me.
In Seville looking at La Casas de El Arsenal
In Madrid we are looking at Hotel Liabeny

KK Picasso is very nice and perfect in location. no bathtubs of which I am aware. in europe bathrooms are not much more than closets with plumbing.

We stayed at the W Barcelona on the beach. Pretty classy but about a 20 minute walk from downtown Barcelona

I've stayed at the Hotel 1892, great location. Very nice place with a super rooftop bar. It's a little pricey.
