dukke v,

In 1970, Ohio State was named a co-national champion before the bowls by the National Football Foundation.

You are correct sir. LSU has the daddy issues.

The simple solution is for Okie State and TTU to go to the SEC or Pac 12. I'm sure they would increase the revenue for both conferences and OU and Texas go to the Big Ten.

How does a 16 team conference with no divisions and no round robin schedule effectively decide on a champion?

This is about a LOT more than sports. Anyone that thinks so is shortsighted. Borrowed from Shaggy.

The Big 10 Academic Alliance has $10 BILLION in grant funding for research. The money distributed to each institution on an annual basis far exceeds any television conference revenue. Libraries are shared. You can attend another Big 10 university for one year of grad school and only pay the in-state fees. Access to other universities' professors.

OSU brings in better ratings than both those schools. There is no conference where OSU is going to play 2nd fiddle to anyone. You could put them in the SEC/ACC/Pac 12 and the are immediately right at the top of the pecking order.

They are one of the 2-3 most powerful programs in the country (with Texas absolutely being another)

Ohio State would absolutely play second fiddle to Alabama in the SEC, and I'm not sure they don't get in line behind OU/Texas in the Big XII. If we're strictly talking football, OU is probably a spot or two above Ohio State all time, and Texas obviously runs the Big XII. Put tOSU in the ACC or Pac-12 and you're right.

Probably, but only because of the SEC. Put Bama or Oklahoma in the Big Ten, and y'all are sitting in the back with everyone else.

I don't think Texas could take not being in charge. In the Big 10 they won't be the head honcho and they won't be in the SEC

I don't buy it

If anything, this could be OU and Tejas, putting out bs info to big10 guy, 2 get the pac12 to get off their arse and take them.

OU and Tejas would of been pac12 schools last time, if not for being saddled with okie light and taco tech. Pac12 commish refused to budge on not taking them and their shoddy academics(tech and okie light).

Also, the pac12 channel is doing terribly, they need a jump. Tejas and OU bring it for football.

Were academic issues the reason Boise State was never admitted to the PAC12? Or did they just not want to go? I can't imagine them not wanting admission to the PAC12
