Did anyone see what happened to Phillips last week? I noticed he was helped off the field and still has not practiced this week. Would hate to lose him for for he has been killing it as of late. Thanks.

He was hurt on a hit very late in the game.

O said he’ll be fine and ready to play vs Florida. Wanted to give him some rest though. Which I love.

Yeah absolutely. Teams are game planning for Devin and Jacob is making them pay.

I love O letting his guy get some rest before this gauntlet we’re about to run.

one of the OM wr's (don't recall if it was Brown or Metcalf) cracked him toward the end of the game.

he didn't practice yesterday, but as others have said, he's expected to play Saturday.

Yes

He got popped on OM's final drive with less than 2 min left up 45-16.

Why he was still playing at that point I have no idea.

We saw him after the game was over as we were walking out of the stadium go with some medical guys holding what looked like his wrist. Couldnt tell if it was his arm or wrist that was injured.

If our starters aren’t in, O is taking his foot off the breaks.

Cannot win for losing.

Read where he made his first practice of the week today, in a gold (non-contact) jersey.

There were 90 seconds left of a 45-16 game

Maybe his strategy is to use games as conditioning.

If your players have played four full quarters, they prove to themselves and the coaches that they can play four full quarters, which they will have to against Georgia and Bama.

I disagree to an extent. Phillips is making plays because he's that good. He's an exceptionally physically gifted LB that just needed to get the mental part of the position down. Now that he has he's proving how good he really is.
