I believe people are questioning why CB and RB weren't addressed before now and why Sullivan wasn't the WR coach last year when he was on the staff. Someone pointed out in another thread the other day that basically everything that O has done positive has been after he had already messed up that situation and there's some truth to that statement unfortunately.

YES, he royally fricked up at CB this cycle, he goes and gets INSTANT depth/competition from a quality CB

Man, this Stanford guy wouldn't sniff the field at LSU 9/10 years. He wasn't even good for Stanford. This does not take heat off of him for blowing the Goodrich deal.

ALOT of people were bitching about RB next, he's now trying to address that was best he can FOR NOW...

I see most people saying this is either a decent pickup or a slightly bad idea. No one is melting over it. This kid isn't a superstar and is coming off a serious knee injury.

Fehoko, Giles and Moss all look to be contributers this year especially Giles and Fehoko.

I have literally seen no one complain about either of those. Its unanimous love for both.

He wanted better WR coaching he went and got(regardless of his age) one of the best

He got a good WR coach that has no clue how to recruit because he hired the exact opposite in Mickey Joseph, who is just taking up a valuable coaching slot at this point.

I mean Ree told us at signing day that the coaches were satisfied with who they had.

You gotta ignore what Ree and Orgeron say and instead just watch what O does. O's actions betray his lies.

Cal football alum here (and LSU commit in 1978 until family circumstances changed things). Try Watson is a fine running back who, in addition to catching the ball, is a good inside runner. He is low, strong and shifty. Also seems to be a stand-up guy. We were really hoping he would come back (to Cal) from the knee injury. If he is going to succeed somewhere other than Cal, I hope it is at LSU.

Wouldnt hurt us. I was in class with several starting DBs when I was in college who legitimately could barely read when asked to read in classes.
...I knew one who played 4 yrs of college football at Louisiana Tech who skipped the 7th & 8th grade so he could play high school football becuz he was 16 yrs old in the 6th grade but a really good athlete....he could hardly read and could barely write his name but played 4 yrs at Tech....so it happens pretty much at all schools....
