I have an 03 B6 and mechanically its bulletproof. However the years are starting to make things sag and some plastic parts are starting to get brittle amd break. Like the clip that holds the visor is broken. Anyway things like that drive me nuts cause you cant really fix them. I do my own mechaic work which isnt much. I wouldnt recommend it if he cant turn a wrench. Also that seems high. I saw a fine black 03 S4 a few months ago for $8k. It must have a stick to be any fun.
