Obviously if he touted that as an accomplishment then yea I could see where he could lose people if he didn't have a serious economic message.

I just don't think it wouldn't be all that effective as an attack.

Well you are a similar strain of THAT so of course you wouldn't

Landrieu would be a terrible pick

He would have to seriously turn things around in NOLA to be a viable candidate. He can't just leave things as they were and claim any sort of success.

Mitch doesn't expect to win or even be a major contender. He intends to broker his "support" to another candidate in exchange for a future job in said person's administration.

What's going to happen is that his numbers will be so low, he won't even have that to bargain with.

It is going to be interesting to see who the DNC tries to anoint. I think the DNC and Super Delegates could be on two different paths. I think the DNC will be leaning toward the far left and trying to push some loon, but the Super Delegates won't follow along so whatever Moderate shows the strongest promise could end up with the nomination. That could be Mitch.

I would disagree that he can win over the hearts and minds of folks with his dismal record. He is going to have a tough time with the Rust Belt if Trump really is able to start bringing industrial jobs back. Lotta union folks might start voting against the recommended candidate. But that is a lot of ifs.

I just think Mitch has more baggage yolked around his neck. Crime, Poorly Run City. Nothing good. End of the day most folks didn't give a crap about the monuments.
