Damn, I think I'd puke in 45 seconds or so.
I'm working through a shoulder injury, so I've limited myself to carries and am just getting back into cleans. Brian Alsruhe has a great YouTube channel where he preaches the virtues of cleaning stones and sandbags. He got me into them, and it's dead on about how much overall strength is required.

Ok, my first shot at a pic here. Airdyne and sledgehammers are off to the right.

?? lot of good stuff. I’m slowly adding to mine but the stuff I want is too expensive...

I changed jobs and had to cash out vacation. My wife let me use that $3300 to get the basics. My family knows I love lifting gear, so the rest has been gift cards. Getting the big items from a legit local metal guy really helped with costs. The squat stand and yoke combined were under $800, and on Rogue, I'd have spent $800 apiece.
Accumulating over time is a solid plan. If you buy good, strong stuff and take care of it, it should last when it's just you. Good luck!

Yep build over time is key. And yea my family only gets me rogue gift cards now for any gift lol.
I try and get 1 or 2 pieces a year and then 5 or so smaller things. But I have slowed down to a crawl except for smaller items, no more machines, until I build my shop in 2 years.

One of the keys to a successful home gym is convincing your wife that you can both park on the driveway forever.
If I had to make a list for the guy just building of the things I wish I knew when building up my stuff:
--Write out a list of what you want, then review to see if you have duplicates. The only mistakes I feel I made are impulse things like a 45 degree back raise when I also wanted the GHD. I bought the back raise impulsively, then realized the GHD did everything and more and regretted the back raise.
The idea of a list helps bc it prevents duplication, and duplication kills space and budget.
--Figure out the stuff you'll use heavily and frequently. Invest in getting quality equipment for the heavy/frequent items.
You can go cheap on the stuff that won't be taking a pounding, but stuff like a rack, you want it built to last.
--Be creative with things outside the norm to save $. I got the tire for free, and most people can get a fairly heavy tire for free.
If you can DIY a sandbag and don't mind your neighbors looking at you funny, you can get a full body cardio circuit that will last your lifetime for around $200. Tire for sledgehammer, flips, throws or carries. The sled will kill legs and burns fat like crazy. Sandbag to carry, clean and throw for overall strength.
People will look at you weird, though.
