TWD: About Jadis' Future (COMIC SPOILERS)

Wanted to make this a separate thread for those who read the comics
So it seems to be the popular rumour tonight is that Jadis will become Alpha. She just lost her entire people and will probably have a vendetta against Rick. I'm personally not a fan of this but where do y'all see this going

How far along is that story from where they are now? From what I understand, the Whisperers storyline should be next after all out war.

Probably late season 9, if they don't drag it out again it'll probably be mid season 9

Who will bang Alpha’s daughter now that Carl is gone?
Posted on 3/4/18 at 10:11 pm to dawgfan24348
Enid will bang Lydia?
Hmmmm
I’d watch it.

I think she will start the whisperers for sure

I don't think that will happen. She just wouldn't have time to put together a threat like that for many years down the road. Plus there just doesn't look to be that many survivors left anymore. The Whispers had hundreds of people. They were steering herds of thousands or more.
Something kind of subtle they mentioned though. What was the deal with the heli-pad and solar panels? Were the garbage people hiding a bigger secret? They keep talking like they covered something up with all the trash. There is something else brewing with Jadis.

Pretty interesting considering we saw someone flying a helicopter earlier in season 8.

I’m still banking on the FTWD Mom as Alpha and that needs to be introduced immediately after Negan is wrapped up if they want me to keep tuning in.
I’m way behind in the comics. Last issue I read involved a big event with Andrea. How is the current storyline?

I might be a month behind. But it seemed to be picking up with Negan finally moving on and maybe becoming a part of the group. That includes Maggie kind of finding peace with him.
I don't want to spoil. But the new storyline has some intrigue and a lot of potential. Weird to say, but might be time to move the story focus from Rick/Carl and onto more interesting characters with better prospects. There is a whole world people are curious about and there has to be better things to see.

This would make sense. It seems like she and Morgan would need to cross paths in order to swap shows.
Plus, Jadis is an awful character. Killing off Carl and the junkyard people was a good start to trying to rectify the series. Now, just get rid of Tara and Jadis, and I'll be happier.

Currently storyline is in Ohio I think where there’s a community of 50,000!!!
The chick Eugene contacted on the radio is from there. A small group just went there including michonne and her daughter happens to still be alive and living there.

If the TV show can push through the first few issues after All Out War it could go through a sort of rebirth. The direction the comics are going in the recent issue with a large community complete with a leadership hierarchy and a skilled military unit is a game changer. That could be the end of Rick and Negan. Neither will be able to adapt to being a worker bee.

That is a hmajor difference with the comic book and show, geography. In the books, I always thought they were somewhat in a rural outstretch with not many major towns or cities around. Somewhere north of Savanah, but south of Charleston. Close to the coast.
In the show, they are supposed to be north of DC, but near the coast. That would put them within 30 miles of 3 major cities, in areas where millions of people live now. There would be major warlords and groups out of DC, Baltimore, Philly and south Jersey. The groups now would be wiped out in a flash.
Plus the government would be starting to come back now. There are precautions for high command to get to shelters. The outbreak has been manageable for years. Jadis had the right idea. A couple of industrial combines would wipe 90% of the dead easily..

Hell, I think the show is a little light on the dead. The U.S. population sits right at a little over 320 million. Plus the ones that wonder in over the border from Mexico and Canada. It would take years to clear all of that especially once the bullets run out.
