Panthers just cut him. Think it would be a great signing and shore up the safety position. He shouldn't be too expensive either.

I'd be ok if they're planning on him as a backup and veteran leader to Bell/Williams.

He graded out as a bottom 10 safety this year.
He’s a younger Bush pretty much and doesn’t need to be anywhere near our starting rotation. I’d rather spend our money on someone else that could actually help at safety like Joyner or HB

Is he a FS or SS? We are in need of a cheap vet F.A. or draft pick to backup Marcus Williams at FS. This guy would probably get some snaps in obvious passing downs as well.
This guy should be pretty cheap & he can't be any worse than Bell or Bush in coverage. Bell & Bush were abysmal in pass coverage last year. At least Bell is really good against the run & blitzing as well.
