Clean hit. He hit him in the shoulder pads and did not go for the head. Incidental to the head. Good no call. Tough that Cooks got knocked but FB is a rough game.

In my mind, Cooks leaving the game was the key part of the game that helped Philly. Cooks' speed makes him a threat whenever he is on the field. If you get Brandin Cooks in the open field it's mismatch, no matter who covers him. Cooks on a go route is a threat to take it all the way every time he catches the ball.

Brady and Cooks had at least 16 plays this year of plays that made 20+ yards.....about one a game. That's probably at least one TD a game. Remove his ridiculous speed and Brady has to depend on Amendola and Hogan as well as Gronk.....all very capable, but not as electric as Cooks

I am stunned that's clean hit. I don't think it should be.

Thats 100% helmet to helmet. The helmets hit before the shoulders. It should have been a penalty.

What rule did it break to result in a penalty?

I will. Cooks is probably eating burgers through a straw right now.

Clean and legal are two completely different things. It was a legal hit. It was by no means a clean hit. He didn’t even slightly attempt to wrap up and went as high as has could while leading with crown of helmet. It’s not like cooks ducked into the hit.

It was a legal hit.
I’ll bet next season the rule will be changed and it will be an illegal hit.
I think he did lead with his head down.
Next season that will be a personal foul.
