I've always been afraid steroids, pros, and PEDs just from a health standpoint b/c I do like the occasional beer / cocktail and I figure my liver takes a bad enough beating.

What are your thoughts on laxosterone?

Instead of starting a 3rd I’ll hijack this one.

Only talking about aTRT. I am 44 and think I probably should get checked. What are the thoughts on Low T centers? Or should I just go to my GP? My concern being if a Low T place is gonna put you on something because it’s a waste of $$ no time to? Are they pushing testosterone on you?

Negatives? Cardiac? Deep vein thrombosis? I’ve personally taken care of one dude on Axiron who had a DVT.

I understand the point to the treatment is to get to optimal normal levels or levels you had as a younger man. Not looking to for super human testosterone levels.

There are not really any negatives so long as you control estrogen if need be and you keep levels with in normal levels and constant. This is assuming you don't care that your balls shrink(who cares, makes your dick look bigger anyways) and that you no longer want kids.

AS far as who to goto...I would stay away from Low T centers in general because usually they are pricey. But unless you find somebody that specializes in this kind of thing, the doctors at those centers tend to be more knowledgeable.

If you live around the houston area I suggest going to a gp and asking for a referal to baylor medical scott department of urology.

Try to find a BHRT specialist - functional medicine, anti-aging, etc. I’m not an expert but it’s a good idea for men to start with injections to gauge dosage level, then move to a pellet if desired. Hemoglobin and Hematocrit should be closely monitored while doing injections, and either give blood or do a therapeutic blood draw if these get too high, which is common with injections.
