Should I upgrade the OS on my iPhone 6s? I just got a new battery, so that's not a concern.

Any issues?

I think they've finally got everything worked out now that it's 11.2.1. There were quite a few annoying bugs in the first few iterations. My wife has a 6S+ and runs 11 with no issues.

Had really bad freezing with the first 11 update. I'm on 11.2.1 and its a lot better. Still freezes from time to time, but not for as long and not nearly as often.

Thanks for input all

Seems like it's not a slam dunk. Is there any upgrade that's worth it?

I just get annoyed, it asks me daily to update.

I've had no problems with my 6s since I upgraded. GF had problems when she updated her 6.

Any improvement over using the new iOS?

Nothing major that I can think of off the top of my head. I like that the updated control center layout and the new screen recording feature is cool for when my mom texts me asking how to use her phone . My favorite part about the upgrade is that it gives you the option to crop your screenshots right after you take the photo. So yeah, nothing too exciting in my opinion. Performance wise, I can't really tell a big difference.

I'm in this camp so far. My 6s runs flawlessly on 10.3.3 (knocks on wood) and I don't want to update because Apple slows down old tech with new iOSs. I don't want nor do I need to spend a shite ton of money on a new phone when mine works perfectly.

Feel the same way. My phone, (6S+) works perfectly now, why upgrade. The battery issues people have reported scare me the most.

I have a 6s and am running the 11.2.1 and it’s fine. My battery doesn’t last all that long anymore but I that may just be normal capacity fade, not sure, it’s not changed due to the update. It’s the same battery drain as before the update.

Been running iOS11 on my 6 since October or November, no issues. People are paranoid.

Yes, and make sure you update to 11.2.2 to get the Spectre patches for Safari and the OS.

I am not a fan of the cheese they keep moving in the UI but part of the problem with not upgrading is that you end up not getting important security patches.

My iPhone 6 just bit the dust with the last update. Kept getting stuck in eternal boot loop and the backups I was able to create in safe mode were corrupted. Wish I had never updated.

Don’t do it. My phone has started randomly calling and texting people out of the blue since the last two updates. I know several people having the same problems.

Only problem I have is the battery has been shite when it isn't in use. I'll go to sleep with 80 percent and wake up to 50. It's getting ridiculous.

Y'all know Apple is letting anyone upgrade their battery on any iphone before the 8 for $29. I ran a battery diagnostic on my 7, it's at 85% capacity (I got a free one thru Apple Care), my wife's 6S+ was at 70%. New batteries make the phones run much better.
