Checking out Palm Island right now. General don’t like all inclusives, as the food is often an afterthought.

Was it good?

Depends where you are on Grace Bay. There is no reef off of most of the beach. There is Smith Reef but proximity depends on where you’re staying on Grace Bay. You could be miles from that reef and still be on Grace Bay Beach.

Food was quite good. You get 3 meals a day and they are all sit down variety. 2 of the dinners are buffet, but one night is a carribbean bbq with lobster, etc. The dinner menu was different every night. The breakfast and lunch menus were the same each day, but I didn't mind that as there were a bunch of choices.

I highly recommend this place and I've been all over the carribbean. It ranks up there with St. John and the BVIs.

Update: booked a house on Hoopers Bay on Exuma. Looks to be a good location. The Bay is sheltered a bit and it’s close to boat rentals and some restaurants.

Will certainly be a bit more of a “do it yourself” type trip. But having the extra space and privacy will be nice.

I’ll take any other Exuma spec recos
