We only have a receiver, Roku, and smart tv. Would like something that is compatible with Alexa, but not too complicated (my wife is electronics challenged).

I want to spend no more then $100.

Logitech Harmony.

If you want to spend a bit more get the Harmony Hub and link it with Alexa.

Get the Harmony yesterday. It controls all of those devices, as well as any modern gaming system you might have.

It takes a little setting up and, I'm not gonna lie, the setup can be tedious and hard to follow at times. It's all worth it when you're done, though, and say "Alexa, turn on ESPN" and the electronics come to life, the lights get set to your specs, and the Harmony tunes your cable box to ESPN. You can program up to 25 (I think) favorite channels that you then can just tell Alexa to turn on, so if your wife likes the Food Network, she'll be able to just say "Alexa, turn on the Food Network". Even better: "Alexa, turn on the LSU game" (or whatever I tried out of the blue Monday) and it just... did it. I still don't know how that worked because I don't remember setting something like that up, but I tried it just for shits and giggles because I didn't want to mess with the cable guide and it worked. The Harmony talks to the cable box, so maybe Alexa triggered a search through the listings to find an LSU game. I don't know.

Anyway, Amazon's running a deal right now where you can get the hub and the companion remote for $80. It's usually $125 or so for the pair, and the hub alone goes for $75. Now, the remote's not the fancy high dollar one that has all kinds of programmable touchscreens and such. You're going for Alexa integration, though, so the point is to NEVER touch a remote and you just want a basic remote as a backup, really.

In other words, get this deal before it's gone if you definitely want to get into that world.
